Plata Lab awarded EPA grant to study health effects of hydraulic fracturing

Desirée Plata, as a part of an interdisciplinary team, was awarded a prestigious $2 million grant by the EPA to investigate the health impacts of hydraulic fracturing within the Appalachian Basin. Over the next three years, the Plata Lab will contributing to the project alongside Yale researchers from the Schools of Public Health and Forestry & Environmental Studies.
